How Can I Do It Better?

How Can I Do It Better?

If we keep doing the same thing the same way every day, we won't get better. So I constantly remind myself to ask, "How can I improve on what I did before?"

But how do we achieve this?

  • Learn from the Successful: Observe how successful individuals accomplish what I have not yet done.
  • Seek Feedback: Utilize tools like Gen AI for constructive feedback.
  • Cross-Industry Inspiration: Draw inspiration from successful people in other industries.

This morning, I discovered a more efficient way to produce my daily newsletter. No more morning teasers or scrambling to write three articles before 8 am. Instead, I now blog about whatever inspires me throughout the day. In the evening, I summarize these thoughts and send out a concise, one-page newsletter with links to the public.

I also found a better way to utilize Gen AI. While it's tempting to let AI do all the work, that approach doesn't foster creative and critical thinking. Therefore, I’ve switched to using Gen AI as a teacher. For research, I ask numerous questions to deepen my understanding of a subject. Then, I craft my piece and seek AI’s feedback for improvement. It’s a collaborative effort—I do the work, and AI enhances it.

My previous employer used to curate other people's blog posts for her weekly sharing. I advised her that sharing others' content doesn’t build her brand's credibility. It's more impactful to create and share in-house articles.

A small change can make a significant difference, much like a hinge can open a big door. Consider the small adjustments you can make to improve your business processes. A house is built brick by brick. Similarly, step by step, little progress every day will help you grow your business.
