The Little Bike That Stayed

The little bike has been resting in our hallway for two decades now. I turned to my beloved and asked why she won't let go of this old thing. It's just cluttering up our home, and we have no real use for it anymore.

Her eyes softened as she spoke of the treasured memories it holds. It takes her back to those sunny days in the park, our little girl's laughter ringing out as she pedaled along. It's a window to a time when our daughter was at her most adorable, those precious days of pure innocence.

"Darling," she said to me, "these memories are beyond value. How could we ever part with something so dear?"
